This week, I was unhappy with the initial colors for the third level background, and since we were running into some problems with trying to light some scenes using the in-game lighting system, I ended up doing a rudimentary run-through of shadows and highlights on the concert backgrounds.

This week, I worked on another project where I developed a turret tower defense system with AI that leads its shot.

Created a moving enemy that will negatively affect the player upon reaching the goal

This week, after the push for releasing the demo last week, I needed to focus elsewhere so I was not able to complete a terrible lot, but I continued work on backgrounds, as well as working on some quality of life improvements for the dialogue system.

This week, we were focused on releasing a demo for the game, which meant working towards finalizing the first level and tutorial as much as feasible within the time frame. This meant making sure all narrative scripts were up to date, and ensuring that we checked for any missing animation tags and dialogue glitches that could harm gameplay.

This week, I was able to focus on the game more and work towards a unified goal with the team. After discussion, it became apparent that the main goal should be the first 3 levels, and so I did not concept for the 4th level and instead focused on working towards completing the first 3.

After a team meeting, I pivoted this week's tasks to be focused on working towards building new levels in Rockin' Racket and working towards developing deeper understandings of each character to use that knowledge to liven up the backgrounds seen in the world of the game.

Worked on adding behavior to split too large of dialogue sections programmatically, allowing the narrative writer to write longer lines without needing to add breaks within Ink. This functionality is still in the debugging stage.
My Personal Rating:​
In terms of a personal rating, I would give myself about a 93 out of 100 for this week as in total I spent over 12 hours on the project. Unfortunately, finishing the concepted background was a much longer process than initially anticipated, meaning I was unable to make significant progress on dialogue system development. In the coming week I hope to finalize the result screen which will allow a speedy finalization of the new diegetic hub system, as well as complete the quality of life update to the dialogue system.

Working on Rockin' Racket in this stage is finding many little details to polish while also trying to streamline processes to improve the efficiency of adding new narrative elements. This week, I tried to split my focus between improving the narrative experience, and also planning ahead for future needs.

​Corrected a dialogue issue where clicking "End Convo" would first prompt a blank dialogue box before fully exiting. Now, clicking "End Convo" will fully exit the dialogue box.

I unfortunately had to deal with some unexpected life troubles, which meant I was unable to dedicate as much time to developing systems this week as I had initially hoped. However, in the coming week I hope to finalize the result screen which will allow a speedy finalization of the new diegetic hub system, as well as complete the quality of life update to the dialogue system.
